# Acron Group completed the construction of two mine shafts

Acron continues to develop its potash deposit.

Verkhnekamsk Potash Company’s Talitsky mine (part of the Acron Group) completed construction of skip shaft No. 1 and cage shaft No. 2. The main contractor for the construction of vertical shafts of the Talitsky mine was the Russian company FGUP US-30.

Sinking of cage and skip shafts is a complex and time-consuming stage in the construction of a potash mine. The cage shaft is designed for lowering and lifting equipment, people and materials into the mine, evacuation of people, and the issuance of an outgoing air stream from the mine. The skip shaft is used to supply fresh air to underground workings and to release the mined potash ore from the mine.

The shafts were drilled by Verkhnekamsk Potash Company using artificial rock freezing. This method is the most reliable.

As a reminder, Acron Group is developing a potash deposit in the Perm region. The project is being implemented by Verkhnekamsk Potash Company in Berezniki. The purpose of the investment project is the construction of a mining and processing complex with a capacity of 2 million tons per year of potassium chloride.
