# Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers began to produce a new product

Granular ammonium sulfate is suitable for almost all plants.

Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers (part of Uralchem) in the city of Voskresensk has launched the production of a new product – granulated ammonium sulfate.

The elements presented in the fertilizer – nitrogen and sulfur – have a beneficial effect on crops: nitrogen stimulates their growth and rapid development, while sulfur helps plants absorb nitrogen, improving the quality characteristics of commercial products. The fertilizer dissolves easily in the moist soil, is well absorbed and is not washed out of the ground. It’s suitable for spring application and root dressing of almost any plant.

To develop a unique production scheme, specialists from various services and divisions of the Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers enterprise were involved. The process is being developed by Ivan Kislyak, Deputy Director of the company, and teamwork under his leadership helped to improve several production processes, significantly reduce implementation costs and reduce the time for commissioning a new production line.

“By joint efforts, we were able to organize the production of a new high-quality fertilizer in the shortest possible time and thereby expand the range of products. A distinctive feature of the fertilizer and its main competitive advantage is that 90% of its mass fraction is 2-4 mm granules. Thanks to this, the application of the new fertilizer is economically beneficial by any means and ensures increased efficiency of the assimilation of useful elements by crops,” said Andrey Loshchilin, head of ammophos workshop No. 2 of the Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers.
