# RFPA President attended Russian-Chinese business forum in China

Andrey Guryev spoke about the international cooperation development in the fertilizer industry.

The President of the Russian Fertilizer Producers Association (RFPA), Andrey Guryev, took part in the Russian-Chinese business forum, which is a part of the official visit of the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin to China.

During the round table on the prospects of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the field of industry, Andrey Guryev spoke about the main directions of the cooperation development between Russia and China in the mineral fertilizer industry.

As the RFPA President emphasized in his speech, Russia and China today are world leaders in the mineral fertilizer industry.

“In total, our countries produce almost 40% of all fertilizers on the planet. In fact, thanks to our industries, almost 4 billion people are provided with food. Taking into account the rapid growth of the world’s population, maintaining high rates of development of the mineral fertilizer sector in Russia and China is a key factor in global food security,” said Andrey Guryev.
