# First batch of low-carbon ammonia from Saudi Arabia went to Taiwan

Taiwan Fertilizer received 5 thousand tons of ammonia from Sabic.

Sabic Agri-Nutrients (Saudi Arabia) supplied 5 thousand tons of low-carbon ammonia to Taiwan Fertilizer. According to Sabic CEO Abdulrahman Shamsaddin, the company plans to become a leading player in the low-carbon ammonia market. Based on these plans, the products have already been delivered to the markets of Japan, India, South Korea, and Taiwan.

Last year, Sabic Agri-Nutrients received the world’s first independent certification for its production of pure hydrogen and low-carbon ammonia from Germany’s leading independent agency TUV Rheinland.
