African countries will receive 300 thousand tons of humanitarian products.

The next African countries that plan to receive humanitarian batch of fertilizers from Uralchem will be Nigeria and Zimbabwe. Dmitry Konyaev, General Director of Uralchem, announced this at the Russia-Africa summit.

Dmitry Konyaev said that almost 300 thousand tons of Uralchem’s products were frozen in European ports. All of them will be delivered to the African continent. Three batches of this volume have already been shipped. Nigeria and Zimbabwe are next in line for shipment.

The head of the company noted that all issues related to humanitarian supplies of fertilizers are handled through the UN. The fact is that the EU does not allow sending fertilizers, even if it is done as part of charity. Deliveries occur within the framework of the project with the World Food Program.
