# Despite sanctions, Bangladesh demands fertilizers from Russia

This was stated by the head of the Bangladesh Foreign Ministry of the Asian country.

Bangladesh Foreign Minister Abul Kalam Abdul Momen said that Dhaka faced serious problems caused by sanctions when purchasing Russian fertilizers. Despite this, the Asian country is doing everything possible to overcome obstacles and obtain chemicals from Russia. The minister announced this in New York during the UN General Assembly.

Yesterday, Taufiq Chowdhury, an adviser to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh who is responsible for mineral resources and energy, complained that the end of the grain deal had led to an increase in prices for fertilizers and grains. Dhaka is interested in stable prices for these goods.
