# Uralkali sees sharp year-over-year decline in net profit

Between January and September, the potash producer also experienced a 21% year-over-year decrease in revenue.

In the first nine months of 2023, Uralkali’s net profit under Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) plummeted by 98.15% year over year to 2.5 billion rubles.

The information was made available in the company’s latest financial report, which was published on the website of Russia’s Corporate Information Disclosure Center on Wednesday.

Uralkali’s revenue for the nine-month period also saw a 21% year-over-year decrease, falling to 177.8 billion rubles.

Uralkali, which is wholly owned by Uralchem, is one of the world’s largest producers of potash fertilizers. It has production facilities in Berezniki and Solikamsk, in Perm Krai.
