The program’s inauguration at the Gwaigwaye irrigation site in Dikke ward, Funtua local government, marks a significant step towards enhancing food security and promoting agricultural practices across the state’s 34 local government districts. Governor Radda’s initiative aims to support agricultural advancement by providing accessible dry season inputs to the selected farmers. The program’s strategic distribution of seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides, detailed by Commissioner for Agriculture Professor Ahmed Mohammed Bakori, is designed to reduce poverty, create jobs, and increase the state’s revenue. In addition to material support, the governor emphasized the importance of modern farming techniques and announced the planned organization of training sessions along with the deployment of extension agents.
