This facility is notably the first globally to produce potassium sulfate with a minimal carbon footprint, utilizing industrial waste products in a circular business model. The journey began in mid-February 2023, when construction commenced in Köpmanholmen, near Örnsköldsvik. Production launched in May 2024, and the official ribbon-cutting ceremony took place today, celebrated by a congregation of government representatives, business partners, and local officials.
