# Russian branch of thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions changed its name and owner

Publication Date: 13.06.2024, 19:30

"Dzer" will continue to operate in the design of chemical and petrochemical facilities, with enhanced capabilities as part of the "Krasnogorskmash" group.

The engineering company formerly known as “ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions (RUS)” has undergone a rebranding, adopting the new name “Dzer.” This change signifies a new chapter for the enterprise, which boasts a 70-year history.

In February 2024, Krasnogorskmash acquired TKIS (RUS) from its German owners. The company has retained its full engineering capabilities and expertise and will continue operations under the new name “Dzer.” The name reflects a modern interpretation of the company’s traditions. Originally founded in 1953 as the Dzerzhinsky branch of the State Design Institute under the Ministry of Chemical Industry, the company’s identity has always been closely linked with the city of Dzerzhinsk, one of the country’s chemical industry centers. The new name offers a fresh and dynamic take, starting with a lowercase letter to signify simplicity and boldness.

The city’s influence is also mirrored in the new visual branding. The logo draws inspiration from the layout of Dzerzhinsk’s city center, with roads radiating outward. Additionally, the logo incorporates the first letter of the new name and a protractor, with strict lines and geometric shapes reminiscent of engineering graphics.

Under the new “Dzer” brand, the company will continue to specialize in the design of chemical and petrochemical facilities. Now part of the Krasnogorskmash group, “Dzer” is poised to expand its competencies in technology, design, equipment, construction, and project management in the petrochemical sector.
