Agro Invitro aims to increase crop yields by 40% with innovative technologies.

A groundbreaking agricultural project in Uzbekistan is set to potentially increase fruit crop yields by 40%. Agrobank, one of the country’s leading agriculture-focused banks, has initiated the Agro Invitro project in the Gallaaral district of the Jizzakh region. This project uses cutting-edge technologies to cultivate high-yield seedlings.

A unique laboratory greenhouse complex covering an area of 20.4 hectares has been constructed for this purpose. It houses 6,000 certified grape, fruit, and ornamental seedlings of 40 different types, imported from various countries, including Spain, Italy, Turkey, and the Netherlands. These seedlings have been specifically adapted to the climatic conditions of Uzbekistan.

The greenhouse operates on fifth-generation technology, which allows significant savings in cooling costs (up to 70%) and heating costs (up to 30%). It ranks fifth in the world in terms of energy efficiency. In this project, the irrigation of seedlings is conducted with water that has been purified of bacteria and viruses, significantly boosting crop yields.
