# Urea prices declined globally to $290 per ton

Publication Date: 11.09.2024, 12:00

Market analysts attribute the drop to low demand in Europe and uncertainties following a major tender in India.

According to specialists from the information and consulting agency MMI, global urea prices declined globally driven by reduced demand in Europe and uncertainties stemming from the results of a significant tender in India.

Over the past month, urea prices fell to $290 per ton, marking a nearly 6% decrease. The price for granulated urea also declined, reaching $305 per ton.

Despite the general downtrend in prices, urea costs continue to rise in several countries, including the United States, Brazil, and certain areas in Russia’s Far East.
