CSBP Fertilisers has announced the commencement of operations at its Granulation Plant in Kwinana for the 2025 season, with over 200,000 tonnes of compound fertilizer to be locally produced over the next seven months. This milestone highlights CSBP’s commitment to delivering high-quality fertilizer solutions tailored to Western Australia’s unique soil conditions. The Kwinana Granulation Plant is the only facility of its kind in Australia. It manufactures fertilizers that combine nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium to create premium products for local agricultural needs. Key offerings include the Agras, MacroPro, and K-Till ranges, which are designed specifically for WA soils and intended to ensure optimal crop growth through balanced nutrient delivery. Ryan Lamp, General Manager of CSBP Fertilisers, emphasized the importance of local production for ensuring high-quality inputs for growers. “For more than 50 years, CSBP has proudly manufactured compound fertilizers at the Granulation Plant. This is central to our strategy of offering reliable, premium fertilizer products to WA growers,” Lamp said. The facility has the capacity to produce up to 1,500 tonnes of compound fertilizer per day at peak operation. This ensures CSBP’s seasonal production cycle is well-positioned to meet demand, starting with Agras and followed by MacroPro, with K-Till being produced closer to the seeding period. CSBP has already begun importing the necessary raw materials to support the production cycle. Lamp encouraged growers to plan ahead: “With logistics during seeding becoming increasingly critical, our local manufacturing capabilities allow us to mitigate issues like quality degradation and logistical delays that can arise with imported products.” CSBP’s fertilizers are distributed to growers through its Kwinana hub and a wide network of regional centers, ensuring broad access across the state.
