Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) plans to dispatch a significant trade delegation to Russia, aiming to bolster economic connections between the two countries. The delegation’s primary role will be to explore new export opportunities and fortify the trade and business relations between the two nations. A key agenda item for these discussions will be the creation of a reliable banking channel, which is crucial for smoothing the trade process between Pakistan and Russia. As part of these efforts, TDAP will lead the delegation and establish a Pakistan Pavilion at the upcoming PRODEXPO 2025, which is scheduled to take place in Moscow from February 3 to 7, 2025. The organization, which is tasked with export promotion, will offer subsidies to companies that participate in the expo. Interested companies can apply for these subsidies starting December 8. At the expo, Pakistan is expected to showcase a variety of products, including meats, poultry, eggs, dairy items like cheese and ice cream, and a selection of grocery items such as cereals, pasta, spices, and herbs. Also on display will be vegetable fats, juices, mineral water, soft drinks, frozen and semi-prepared foods, along with ready-to-eat meals, confectionery, bakery snacks, nuts, dried fruits, honey, and bee products. Further offerings include tea, coffee, fish, seafood, canned goods, and an assortment of sauces, ketchup, baby food, and fresh produce like vegetables, fruits, mushrooms, berries, and wild foods. Pakistan’s food exports have reached $2.36 billion in the period from July to October 2024, marking a 21.73% increase from $1.94 billion during the same period in the previous year.
