Publication Date: 12.12.2024, 10:00

Investment to support the development of safety software for fully autonomous agricultural operations.

AgriRobot has closed the first round of its latest funding initiative, raising its total capital to over 2.5 million euros ($2.61 million). The funding will accelerate the development of certifiable safety software for autonomous agricultural robots, paving the way for a transition from semi-autonomous to fully autonomous farming operations.

The investment round, led by Norminal Ventures with participation from Tall Grass Ventures, reflects growing confidence in the company’s ability to address critical challenges in agricultural automation. AgriRobot’s software, which integrates technology from driverless cars and delivery robots, eliminates the need for human oversight of autonomous equipment, aiming to improve efficiency, sustainability, and safety in farming.

CEO Tommy Ertbølle Madsen ![](https://www.fertilizerdaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/tommy-ertbolle-madsen-co-founder-and-ceo_cto-agrirobot.jpg)emphasized the significance of the milestone, noting that the funding will speed up the deployment of their technology to benefit farmers globally. The software is designed to ensure safe, reliable operation of autonomous tractors and robots without manual intervention.

Chris Edwards, Managing Partner at Tall Grass Ventures, highlighted AgriRobot’s role in reshaping agriculture. “Their technology tackles essential safety challenges, enabling farmers to enhance efficiency, cut labor costs, and improve crop quality while reducing risks,” he said, adding that the company’s expertise in robotics and safety is a strong asset.

AgriRobot’s modular, scalable software integrates seamlessly with various autonomous farming systems. Focused on compliance, it provides equipment manufacturers with dependable solutions to meet the growing demand for safer, automated agricultural tools.

Founded in 2021, AgriRobot has positioned itself as a leader in safety software for autonomous farming. This latest funding milestone reinforces its mission to advance safe, efficient, and sustainable farming practices worldwide.
