# Phytech expands digital agriculture solutions to Latin America

The Israeli firm looks to address water scarcity and boost productivity through precision irrigation and crop monitoring technology.

Israeli ag-tech company Phytech has expanded into Latin America, establishing branches in Peru and Chile to offer digital agriculture solutions across the region. The expansion targets key agricultural markets, including Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay, and Guatemala, Strengthening Phytech’s position in the field of precision irrigation and crop monitoring technology.

With approximately 200 employees, half of whom are based in Kfar Saba, Israel, Phytech has developed a mobile-friendly platform that integrates predictive algorithms with real-time agronomic data. The system employs sensors attached to trees and plants to monitor water and fertilizer needs, providing growers with precise irrigation recommendations. IoT-enabled hydraulic monitoring further enhances farm management by tracking water tanks, pumps, filters, and valves, facilitating predictive maintenance and minimizing downtime.

“Our technology was born in Israel, grew in the United States and Australia, and is now available in Latin America, where irrigated agriculture is expanding rapidly,” said Phytech CEO Oren Kind. “In the face of climate change, precision irrigation is crucial for growers, helping them optimize water use, increase yields, and improve sustainability.”
