# EuroChem begins employee training program in process modeling

The initiative aims to improve productivity and economic performance across all group enterprises.

EuroChem has initiated a large-scale training program in process modeling, aiming to enhance productivity and strengthen economic indicators across its operations. The program, which will eventually extend to all of the Group’s enterprises, provides employees with tools to simulate and optimize production processes.

Under the initiative, staff from design, engineering, and production departments gain access to specialized software that replicates the functioning of real industrial units. Using this platform, employees can test new ideas, simulate various scenarios, and evaluate the potential implementation of process improvements through computational analysis.

The first group of employees to complete the training includes five specialists from Nevinnomyssk Azot. Their training took place at EuroChem’s Skolkovo office under the supervision of ProTech Lab, the company’s centralized research center.

“Process modeling allows for more efficient, faster, and more accurate decision-making,” said Anastasia Cherepanova of ProTech Lab. “Employees see the production process visualized as a computer diagram incorporating mathematical equations based on the laws of thermodynamics and chemical kinetics. We have received very positive feedback from the first participants and plan to expand the program to most of the Group’s enterprises this year.”

According to Cherepanova, process modeling addresses several challenges simultaneously. It enables rapid “what if” scenario analysis, identifies bottlenecks within operations, and reduces reliance on manual calculations. These capabilities are expected to lead to gains in productivity and energy efficiency.

EuroChem also plans to integrate process modeling into its existing Idea Factory project, using it to generate a larger volume of proposals for operational improvements.
