# Kazakhstan launches new fertilizer and agrochemical plant

New facility in Aktobe to boost domestic production, cutting reliance on imports.

A new fertilizer and plant protection products facility, Ecosystem, has opened in Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region. The plant, built at a cost of €930,000 provided by private investment, aims to significantly increase domestic agrochemical production.

Located in the Aktobe Industrial Zone, Ecosystem will annually produce 1,500 cubic meters of liquid fertilizers, 500 cubic meters of herbicides, and 50 cubic meters of auxiliary agricultural products. Construction of the facility concluded in May 2025.

According to the press service of the Aktobe regional administration, the uniqueness of the project lies in its comprehensive design, combining a modern production workshop and a finished-goods warehouse on one site. All components have been officially commissioned and hold technical passports.

Officials expect the plant will help reduce Kazakhstan’s dependency on imported agrochemicals, offering local farmers consistent access to quality fertilizers and plant protection products.
