# Farmdar and Planet deepen collaboration to advance AI-powered crop intelligence

Planet Labs and Farmdar have formalized a direct partnership aimed at enhancing the quality and scope of agricultural analytics through the integration of high-frequency satellite imagery and AI models. The agreement strengthens an existing collaboration between the two companies, which began in 2022, and reflects rising demand for data-driven tools in global agriculture.

Under the terms of the new deal—valued in the six-figure range—Farmdar gains expanded access to Planet’s archive of PlanetScope data, including Planet Basemaps. These near-daily satellite images will support Farmdar’s AI-based crop intelligence platform, enabling more precise mapping, crop detection, and yield forecasting at scale.

Headquartered in Singapore, Farmdar serves agricultural producers and processors across multiple regions, with a growing focus on clients in complex crop categories such as sugarcane. The company leverages artificial intelligence to analyze geospatial data and deliver insights on field boundaries, land classification, and plant health.
