Graduates are expected to qualify for a range of horticultural careers or pursue advanced study at the graduate level. The curriculum includes training in sustainable business principles, accounting, labor law, and management to prepare students for leadership roles in the field.

Faculty members include subject matter experts and adjunct professors with professional and research experience in horticulture. Among them are Dr. Amanda Rose Newton, Dr. Marion Andrews Holmes, Dr. Kathryn Radicke-Vanderburg, Dr. Karen Stancil, and Dr. Michaeleen Gerken Golay.
