# Performance Nutrition expands Prudent line with three new turf solutions

Publication Date: 01.10.2025, 14:00

The company introduces urea phosphite-based products for enhanced turf health and stress tolerance.

[Performance Nutrition](https://www.pnfertilizers.com) has added three products to its Prudent line of fertilizers, expanding its portfolio of turf and ornamental plant health technologies. The new formulations—Prudent Turf, Prudent Turf Plus, and Prudent Green—are now available through the company’s U.S. distributor network.

The products are based on Performance Nutrition’s urea phosphite technology, which is designed to promote rapid foliar uptake, support natural plant defense pathways, and improve turf tolerance to environmental stress. According to the company, the charge-neutral formulation offers greater mobility and tank mix compatibility than traditional potassium phosphite products, while reducing scale and residue.

A Clemson University turf trial cited by Performance Nutrition showed that Prudent Turf increased root weight compared with both potassium phosphite and untreated control at equal application rates.

The new lineup includes:

- **Prudent Turf (2-0-0):** a base urea phosphite fertilizer to support rooting, nutrient efficiency, and plant defense mechanisms.
- **Prudent Turf Plus (3-0-0):** combines urea phosphite with Pennamin amino acids to improve nutrient transport and recovery.
- **Prudent Green (2-0-0 + pigment):** provides both urea phosphite nutrition and a concentrated green pigment for immediate color enhancement and spray pattern visibility.

Chris Underwood, Innovation and Business Development Manager at Performance Nutrition, said the products are intended to give turf managers “dependable plant response, clean tanks, and solutions that fit weekly programs.”
