# For Farmers Movement opens early nominations for annual grant program

Community members can nominate local farmers for grants up to $10,000 through October 31, 2025.

The [For Farmers Movement](https://www.forfarmersmovement.com) has opened nominations a week ahead of schedule for its annual grant program, giving community members across the country the opportunity to support small and mid-sized farms in their area.

Through October 31, 2025, anyone can nominate a deserving farmer through the organization’s website. One hundred farmers will receive grants, which will be announced on December 3, 2025. For the first time this year, ten or more selected farmers will have the chance to apply for a $10,000 grant designed to create significant impact for their farm and community.

The grant program provides crucial support to farmers facing everyday challenges, from equipment repairs and storm recovery to operational expansion and land maintenance. Since launching in 2022, the movement has awarded 190 grants across 46 states, with typical grants ranging from $500 to $3,000.

“Supporting local farmers doesn’t have to be complicated,” said Dana DiPrima, founder of the For Farmers Movement. “For Farmers offers several easy ways to support your local farmers—by nominating them for high-impact grants, fulfilling a wish from a farmer wish list, and even by donating just a $1 dollar to support a grant. Every action at For Farmers has a big impact.”

DiPrima’s journey from Global Head of Cause Marketing at Group M to farm advocate began with a weekend retreat on former farmland outside New York City. What started as a personal escape evolved into a passion project, first as a blog in 2016, then as two podcasts, and ultimately as the For Farmers Movement—a national organization dedicated to connecting consumers with the farmers who feed their communities.
