# Stepan and Staphyt partner to streamline agricultural innovation in Europe

Collaboration aims to accelerate development and market access for regulated crop protection and biological products.

Stepan Company and Staphyt have entered into a strategic collaboration designed to speed up the development and approval of regulated agricultural products in Europe. The agreement combines Stepan’s formulation expertise with Staphyt’s regulatory, field, and laboratory capabilities, offering a full-service pathway from product concept to market launch.

Under the partnership, Stepan’s Advanced Formulation Services (AFS) will integrate with Staphyt’s regulatory strategy and data generation under Good Experimental Practice (GEP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards. The goal is to provide agricultural innovators with a comprehensive framework that shortens time to market while maintaining product quality and compliance.

“Introducing new product concepts into the agricultural sector presents significant challenges and complexities,” said Dave Allen, vice president of Global Crop Productivity at Stepan. “Collaborative agreements such as this one allow us to leverage complementary strengths, accelerate market access, and deliver value across the value chain.”

Olivier Marchioro, general manager at Staphyt, added, “This new synergy complements our aim to offer a comprehensive service to clients. Both teams are eager to explore innovative service models that enhance support for agricultural product development.”

The collaboration will focus on helping agrochemical and biological solution developers navigate the full product lifecycle—from formulation design and validation to regulatory approval and commercialization—across the European market.

Stepan Agricultural Solutions, a division of Illinois-based Stepan Company, provides formulation technologies and R&D support for crop protection and nutrition industries globally. Staphyt, headquartered in France, offers regulatory consultancy and field and laboratory development services for the agricultural, chemical, and biocide sectors, with operations in Europe, Morocco, Brazil, and the United States.
