Synagro Technologies, North America’s largest provider of sustainable biosolids and organics solutions, has acquired the assets of Nutri-Blend, a Virginia-based biosolids services provider with more than 30 years in the market. The deal extends Synagro’s service coverage across Virginia and the Washington, D.C., area, while reinforcing relationships with local municipalities and agricultural clients. “This acquisition continues broadening our client base in the region and expanding our biosolids-management services,” said Ben Gilreath, Synagro vice president of corporate development and mergers and acquisitions. “We look forward to welcoming the Nutri-Blend employees to the Synagro family.” Lawrence Matthews, Nutri-Blend president, emphasized the strategic fit of the transaction. “I chose to partner with Synagro because of their leadership and performance, as well as their commitment to continue with our staff, client base and local farmers,” he said.
