# Roquette expands Agriscience unit to broaden sustainable crop-care portfolio

Publication Date: 26.11.2025, 12:00

Company integrates IFF assets and opens new US lab to support fertilizer, biostimulant and seed-treatment development.

Roquette has restructured and expanded its plant-care operations, relaunching the unit as **Agriscience** as the company looks to strengthen its position in sustainable crop-input technologies. The shift follows the integration of product lines acquired from IFF Pharma Solutions, broadening Roquette’s portfolio across fertilizers, biostimulants, biocontrol products and seed-treatment ingredients.

The expanded portfolio now includes cellulosic materials such as METHOCEL, Lattice, Accelerate and Aquacoat, seaweed-based Scogin, and established plant-based ingredients including SOLULYS, AGROBIND, GLUCIDEX and NEOSORB AG. Roquette says the combined offer is aimed at manufacturers seeking more consistent crop performance while reducing environmental impact.

Roquette is also increasing customer support capabilities with a new Customer Technical Services application lab in Geneva, Ill., opened in September. The facility provides formulation assistance, plant-trial capabilities and seed-treatment testing, complementing the company’s research infrastructure in Europe.

Julien Honoré, head of Agriscience & Fermentation, said the integrated portfolio puts the company in a stronger position to supply sustainable inputs tailored to modern agricultural demands.

Roquette, a family-owned group with €4.5 billion in revenue in 2024, supplies plant-based ingredients and pharmaceutical excipients from wheat, corn and cellulose to food, pharma and bioindustry clients worldwide.
