# Cultura acquires BIG Consulting expanding agribusiness intelligence and analytics services

Publication Date: 13.01.2026, 14:00

The deal brings a Midwest-based agricultural data firm into Cultura’s agri-food technology platform.

Cultura Technologies has acquired BIG Consulting from ALCIVIA and New Vision Co-op, adding a Midwest-based provider of agribusiness data and analytics to its portfolio of agri-food technology and services.

Founded in 2015, BIG Consulting provides business intelligence, reporting and analytics tools for agricultural companies across agronomy, energy, feed, grain, retail and finance. The firm works primarily with cooperatives and agribusinesses across the US Midwest, using customized dashboards and advisory services to track performance, manage risk and improve operating efficiency.

Cultura said the transaction expands its ability to support customers that rely on data-driven decision-making across the food and agriculture supply chain. Rich Reynertson, president of Cultura, said the addition of BIG strengthens the group’s analytics and reporting capabilities across its network of businesses.

Under the agreement, BIG will continue to operate under its existing brand, maintaining its customer relationships while gaining access to Cultura’s technology, data and industry platform. The business was sold by ALCIVIA and New Vision Co-op, two long-standing customers and investors in BIG.

Matt Ashton, chief executive of New Vision Co-op, said Cultura’s ownership would provide BIG with greater resources while preserving its role as a data and analytics provider to cooperatives and agribusinesses. Rodney Balvitsch, chief executive of ALCIVIA, said the transaction provides scale and alignment to support BIG’s continued operations in the agriculture sector.

Kent Schultz, chief executive of BIG Consulting, said the deal would allow the firm to expand its client base while continuing to serve existing customers.

The acquisition comes as agribusinesses, cooperatives and input suppliers are investing more heavily in data analytics to manage volatile markets, tighter margins and increasingly complex supply chains.
