Telbek PRO introduces a new mode of action in cereals, aiming to improve disease control and protect yields.

Corteva Agriscience has launched Telbek PRO, a new fungicide for Canadian cereal growers that introduces a novel mode of action for controlling fusarium head blight and other key wheat diseases.

The product is the first Group 21 fungicide registered for use in Canadian cereals. It is powered by Corteva’s Adavelt active ingredient, also known as florylpicoxamid, and is designed to address growing disease pressure while helping manage fungicide resistance.

Fusarium head blight remains one of the most damaging diseases affecting Canadian wheat, reducing both yields and grain quality. Telbek PRO combines Group 21 chemistry with a Group 3 active ingredient, providing dual modes of action intended to slow resistance development while delivering broad-spectrum disease control.

According to Corteva, the product suppresses Fusarium head blight and controls Septoria, leaf rust, stripe rust, tan spot, and glume blotch. The company said the formulation is designed to perform under high disease pressure and support more consistent yield outcomes.

Corteva said field trials have shown improved disease control, cleaner grain, and more stable yields compared with existing treatments. The company added that the product’s formulation allows for strong performance during critical late-season disease periods.

Telbek PRO is now available through Corteva representatives across Canada and is positioned for use in the 2026 growing season.
