# Syngenta launches botanical biofungicide Quillibrium in North America

Publication Date: 03.03.2026, 17:00

Quillaja-based product to launch in the U.S., Canada and Mexico as biologicals market growth accelerates.

Swiss agrochemical group [Syngenta](https://www.syngenta.com) has expanded its exclusive agreement with Chile-based [Botanical Solution](https://botanical-solution.com/) to bring its botanical biofungicide Quillibrium to growers in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, broadening its footprint in the Americas.

Quillibrium, derived from *Quillaja saponaria* using BSI’s proprietary plant tissue culture platform, has been marketed in Chile as BotriStop and used since 2021 in Chile and Peru on crops including grapes, tomatoes, berries and cherries. The companies say the product helps control diseases such as Botrytis, sour rot and powdery mildew, while the production method avoids harvesting protected trees and supports biodiversity.

Under the expanded agreement, Syngenta will distribute the product for crop protection, turf and ornamental uses, as well as post-harvest applications. The move comes as the global biologicals market is projected to exceed USD 20 billion by 2030, reflecting rising demand for integrated pest management tools that combine biological and conventional solutions.
