Agricultural equipment maker adds veteran industry executive as director Matthew Tsien prepares to step down.

AGCO has appointed James C. Collins Jr. to its board of directors, effective April 1.

Collins![](https://www.fertilizerdaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/jim_collins_headshot.jpg)previously served as chief executive of Corteva Agriscience, the crop-science company created in 2019 following the breakup of DowDuPont. He joined DuPont in 1984 and held several senior roles, including chief operating officer of DowDuPont’s agriculture division and executive vice president of DuPont’s agricultural businesses.

During his tenure at DuPont, Collins also oversaw the integration of the food and biosciences company Danisco after its acquisition. He spent several years working in Asia earlier in his career.

Collins currently serves on the board of Archer-Daniels-Midland and also sits on the boards of private agricultural technology companies Vestaron and Pivot Bio.

AGCO also confirmed director Matthew Tsien will not stand for re-election at the company’s upcoming annual meeting.

Based in Duluth, Georgia, AGCO manufactures agricultural machinery and precision agriculture equipment under brands including Fendt, Massey Ferguson and Valtra.
