The new entity will manage Corteva’s advanced germplasm and biotechnology portfolio as the company prepares for a fourth-quarter split.

Corteva has introduced Vylor as the name of its planned standalone seed and genetics business, a significant milestone in its separation strategy scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026. Vylor will integrate Corteva’s advanced germplasm and biotechnology assets, establishing itself as a focused leader in crop innovation and seed development.

Vylor will launch with a significant intellectual property portfolio, including more than 4,000 germplasm patents and over 2,000 biotechnology patents. Its pipeline includes hybrid wheat, gene editing technologies, multi-disease-resistant corn, and biofuel innovations. The company reports that Vylor will leverage a global seed production network and strong market positions in key crops, while pursuing growth in additional row crops and related agricultural segments.

Incoming chief executive Chuck Magro stated that the new entity will address global food and energy security challenges through science-driven innovation. Corteva noted that Vylor will inherit several established seed brands and maintain robust distribution channels as the parent company streamlines operations ahead of the separation.
