# EuroChem reported that its AI-driven digital projects generated more than $50 million in gains

Fertilizer producer says recommendation systems deployed across its Russian ammonia plants boosted output while lowering natural gas consumption.

EuroChem reported that the introduction of digital products across its operations has generated an economic impact exceeding 4 billion rubles ($50.8 million), with most solutions based on artificial intelligence technologies.

Denis Samokhvalov, EuroChem’s deputy general director for operations, shared these results at the CIPR-2026 conference during a session on the expanding role of AI in industrial production. The session featured representatives from Severstal, SIBUR, Norilsk Nickel, and CROC.

Samokhvalov stated that EuroChem’s digital transformation strategy focuses on projects that deliver rapid, measurable operational benefits, which has helped build internal confidence in AI-based systems. The company has completed over 60 AI-related projects and is developing approximately 50 more.

A key focus has been recommender systems for production management. These systems analyze equipment parameters in real time and suggest optimal production modes to improve efficiency and reduce losses.

Samokhvalov noted that EuroChem has implemented recommendation systems at all Russian ammonia production facilities, resulting in an average productivity increase of 2% and a 1% reduction in specific natural gas consumption.

EuroChem is prioritizing the integration of AI technologies into a unified operational framework instead of deploying standalone digital products. The company expects artificial intelligence to become a standard part of industrial operations in the coming years, similar to enterprise software and mobile technologies.
