Denis Samokhvalov, EuroChem’s deputy general director for operations, shared these results at the CIPR-2026 conference during a session on the expanding role of AI in industrial production. The session featured representatives from Severstal, SIBUR, Norilsk Nickel, and CROC. Samokhvalov stated that EuroChem’s digital transformation strategy focuses on projects that deliver rapid, measurable operational benefits, which has helped build internal confidence in AI-based systems. The company has completed over 60 AI-related projects and is developing approximately 50 more. A key focus has been recommender systems for production management. These systems analyze equipment parameters in real time and suggest optimal production modes to improve efficiency and reduce losses. Samokhvalov noted that EuroChem has implemented recommendation systems at all Russian ammonia production facilities, resulting in an average productivity increase of 2% and a 1% reduction in specific natural gas consumption.
