Vylor targets $2 billion in incremental corn revenue by 2035 ahead of September 15 investor day

Corteva’s seed and genetics spin-off Vylor will host its first investor day on September 15, presenting a corn pipeline that the company says will generate more than $2 billion in incremental revenue by 2035, including licensing income. The roadmap spans seven new technology platforms targeting yield, disease resistance and insect control.
A cornerstone is the gene-edited multi-disease resistant corn platform, which uses gene editing to combine resistance to four major North American diseases — Northern Corn Leaf Blight, Grey Leaf Spot, Southern Rust and Anthracnose Stalk Rot — in a single genetic location. Vylor says the product aims to protect against approximately $1 billion in annual yield losses. USDA regulatory authorization is already in place, with a U.S. commercial launch targeted for 2028.
Later this decade, Vylor expects to launch short-stature corn and a new below-ground insect control platform featuring two proprietary non-Bt modes of action. In Latin America, Abranvo technology targeting fall armyworm is planned for 2028.
The spin-off separates from Corteva on October 1 and will be led by CEO Chuck Magro. Vylor holds more than 4,000 germplasm patents and 2,000 biotechnology patents, along with the globally recognized Pioneer and Brevant seed brands.
