Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma’aden) is Saudi Arabia’s largest multi-commodity mining and metals company and one of the fastest-growing mining companies in the world. Established in 1997 by royal decree, Ma’aden was created to develop the Kingdom’s mineral resources and build a world-class mining sector. Today, the company is backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and operates across a diversified portfolio that includes phosphate, gold, copper, aluminum, and industrial minerals. Ma’aden operates 17 sites, employs more than 6,800 direct employees, and exports products to more than 30 countries.

The company is developing an integrated mining value chain in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and its Ma’aden 2040 Strategy. Its operations cover the full value chain from exploration and extraction to processing and production. Ma’aden's phosphate business is among the world's top three, while its aluminum operations are one of the world's largest vertically integrated aluminum production complexes. The company is also significantly expanding exploration for gold, copper, silver, zinc, and other minerals in Saudi Arabia.

## Products and Services

- **Phosphate Products and Fertilizers** — production of phosphate fertilizers, including DAP, as well as ammonia and other phosphate-based products. Ma’aden produces more than 6 million tons of phosphate products and 3 million tons of ammonia annually.
- **Gold** — exploration, mining, and processing of gold. Ma’aden currently operates seven gold mines and produces more than 407,000 ounces annually.
- **Copper** — exploration and development of copper resources, including operations through copper joint ventures.
- **Silver and Zinc** — exploration and development of additional base and precious metal resources.
- **Aluminum** — vertically integrated production covering bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminum smelting, and rolling. The company produces more than 1 million tons of aluminum per year.
- **Industrial Minerals** — development and production of industrial minerals used in sectors including construction, agriculture, and wastewater treatment.
- **Mineral Exploration** — large-scale exploration for gold, copper, and other minerals across Saudi Arabia, including the Kingdom's major greenfield exploration program.
- **Mining and Processing** — integrated mining, ore processing, refining, and downstream manufacturing operations.
- **International Marketing and Export** — distribution of Ma’aden products to international markets across more than 30 countries.
