Pervomaisky plant will produce organic fertilizers

The Pervomaisky breeding plant (Leningrad region) has begun the construction of the complex processing cattle into organic fertilizers under the South-East Finland – Russia 2014-2020 cross-border cooperation program.

Currently, the foundation for the future manure storage is being laid on its site. The total cost of works is EUR3.15 million, EUR2.85 million of which were invested in infrastructure solutions. The project will be completed in March 2022.

“An interactive tool will be developed on the basis of the farm to monitor biowaste management and coordinate the use of organic fertilizers in the farms of the region. More than 150 specialists will be trained in the best practices in the field of agricultural environmental safety,” reported the government of the Leningrad region.
