Fertilizer imports from Russia to China set a new record

The supplies of mineral fertilizers produced at Russian enterprises and sent by rail to China doubled in 2020 because of the pandemic.

The total volume of railway transportation of mineral fertilizers from Russia to China via Manchuria last year increased by 22.7% to 1.6 million tons. From September to November they raised by 17 times to 419.2 thousand tons.

Despite the decline in sales of mineral fertilizers in China, some companies continue to expand their stocks to meet the needs of domestic farmers. Potassium chloride and potassium sulfate are among the most demanded mineral fertilizers imported from Russia.
