Uralkali expands sales in Russia

In the January-June period of this year, Uralkali sold 1.4 million tons of potassium chloride on the Russian domestic market. Compared to the same period in 2020, sales increased by 12%, mainly due to the increased sales of complex fertilizers.

At the same time, the export of potassium chloride produced by Uralkali declined by 4% to 4.6 million tons.

During the first half of the year, the situation in the global potash market was favorable. There was a steady upward trend in potassium prices in key markets, as well as an expansion of global potassium supplies amid record prices for major crops and a decrease in potassium stocks in key regions with limited supply.

Uralkali expects that the volume of world supplies of potassium chloride by the end of 2021 will amount to 70-71 million tons.
