Turkey is ready to join the working group on the ammonia pipeline

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that his country is ready to take part in the activities of the working group on the Togliatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline, if an agreement is reached on it.
The Togliatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline was built in the late 1970s. Every year, about 2.5 million tons of raw materials were distilled through it. The transit was stopped in February 2022 due to the well-known events in Ukraine.
Ammonia is a key ingredient in fertilizers. Its distillation through the Togliatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline was originally planned to be agreed in July 2022 as part of the Black Sea Grain Deal but this never happened.
