PhosAgro won the “Leader of Russian Business” award for its activities in 2022
For the third time PhosAgro, a Russian vertically integrated company, one of the world’s leading producers of phosphate-based fertilizers, won the Grand Prix of the All-Russian competition “Leaders of Russian Business: Dynamics and Responsibility-2022” held by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
Participants in this competition are assessed in 16 categories including “For the dynamic development of business”, “For the import substitution project”, “For the contribution to the sustainable development of territories”, “For the environmentally responsible business”, and “For the Development of Human Resources”. 287 largest companies of the country took part in the competition.
The organizing committee of the competition evaluated the activities of Russian business in 2022. This year was a record year for PhosAgro in the production of mineral fertilizers and feed phosphates – 11.1 million tons were produced (almost 5% growth compared to 2021). A record amount was invested in the development of the company – 63 billion rubles (over $785 million, a third more than in 2021). In 2022-23, PhosAgro increased the salaries of employees by 29%, while the average salary increased by more than 40%. PhosAgro also pays annual bonuses for professional holidays – Chemist’s Day and Miner’s Day. This year, the Chemist’s Day bonus in the amount of 50 thousand rubles (approximately $625) will be paid to all PhosAgro Group employees. Enterprise veterans will receive 10 thousand rubles ($125) each. 1.5 billion rubles (almost $17 million) will be allocated for these purposes.
The decision to award the company the Grand Prix for 2022 in a combination of nominations was made considering PhosAgro’s stable growth in production indicators, increased labor productivity, the implementation of a training and development program, a significant level of funding and the scale of projects in the field of environmental protection, a high level of social protection employees guaranteed by collective agreements, active participation of the company in the programs of socio-economic development of the regions and municipalities of presence, the scale of charitable programs implemented in accordance with the strategy of social responsibility.
