The Ammoni plant may be expanded
VEB (former Vnesheconombank) Chairman Igor Shuvalov held talks with Tatarstan’s President Rustam Minnikhanov, during which the situation with the Ammoni plant (the city of Mendeleevsk) was discussed.
During the meeting, Igor Shuvalov, in connection with the introduction of the monitoring procedure for the Ammoni plant, once again emphasized the interest of all parties in maintaining the stable operation of the enterprise and preventing its bankruptcy. The projects for the development of production, including the construction of the second stage, were also discussed.
The monitoring procedure at Ammonia was introduced in order to restore the company’s solvency during the transition period and was agreed by all parties to the process. The management of VEB and Tatarstan continue seeking out a sector-specific investor for it.
