Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers to boost consumer confidence

The testing laboratory of the centralized Quality Control Department of the Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers enterprise (part of Uralchem) has passed the competency confirmation procedure.

Accreditation is one of the most important mechanisms to ensure consumer confidence in the quality and competence of work. Obtaining the certificate allows specialists of the Quality Control Department to conduct analyses at various levels, monitoring the quality of all products manufactured by the chemical plant. The approved scope of accreditation includes 65 methods, most of which are methods for determining the main nutrient components in mineral fertilizers and raw materials (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium).

The next important step for the testing laboratory will be the transition to the GOST ISO / IEC 17025-2019 standard, which was put into effect on September 1, 2019. It obliges laboratories to review their quality guidelines in accordance with a risk-based approach and gives much greater flexibility to the requirements of workflow, the distribution of responsibility in the organization, as well as to ongoing processes and procedures.

“The laboratory must constantly improve the its management system efficiency and improve the methods of analysis,” said Elena Guskova, Head of the Quality Control Department. – In order to meet modern requirements, we need to regularly upgrade the employees’ professional skills. This year, our specialists will have to undergo training on the transition to the new standard, which will allow the laboratory to continue to successfully monitor product quality, guaranteeing consumers the highest reliability of our laboratory tests”.
