Petrikovsky Mining and Processing Plant has produced its first output
The first batch of potassium chloride has been produced at the Petrikovsky Mining and Processing Plant (part of Belaruskali). Mining of sylvinite in the Petrikovsky deposit has been going on since last November, and in December, start-up operations at the preparation plant started. Departments of grinding, flotation, filtration, thickening and storage of waste have been launched.
Start-up operations are to be completed by May 2020, and in the future, the preparation plant is expected to enter the full technological cycle. By the end of 2020, at least 100 thousand tons of potassium chloride are planned to be produced at the Petrikovsky Mining and Processing Plant.
