Fertilizer consumption in Russia may reach 3.5 million tons

Russian agriculture continues to increase the application rates of mineral and organic fertilizers, said the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia Dzhambulat Khatuov.

“We annually increase the volume of both mineral and organic fertilizers applied. The annual increment is more than 500 thousand tons. This year it is planned to apply 3.5 million tons. Farmers have already had more than 80% of the projected volume and a part of it has already been applied,” confirmed the First Deputy Minister.

Dzhambulat Khatuov thanked mineral fertilizer producers for a flexible and sustainable partnership in the current year, and also added that prices remain fixed and have not changed, despite the ruble depreciation.
