Kovdorskiy GOK faces obstacles
The recent collapse of the railway bridge between Vykhodnoy and Kola stations (Murmansk region) caused serious difficulties for the Kovdorskiy GOK (part of EuroChem). As Logistics Director Evgeny Romanov said, the problems particularly associated with transshipment through local ports.
Nevertheless, the situation with apatite concentrate is slightly better.
“We have an alternative opportunity to transport apatite concentrate overland to our Lifosa plant in Lithuania. In the first decade of June, we will send 19.5 thousand tons of apatite concentrate, so the plant will get raw materials and will be able to continue operating,” noted Evgeny Romanov.
