Carbamide may rise in price

EuroChem assumes that world prices for carbamide may rise until the end of this year.

“Due to the strong demand for carbamide in India and Latin America and a decrease in exports from China, we can expect further growth in carbamide prices in the fall. The positive outlook for the development of the farming business and the prospects for an increase in corn acreage in the 2021-2022 season in the US also contribute to the creation of a favorable conjuncture for carbamide in the 4th quarter of 2020,” says EuroChem’s press-release on financial results in the first half of this year.

“Improved seasonal demand and the outlook for higher gas prices in Europe in the second half of the year will ease the challenging situation in the nitrogen fertilizer market. At the same time, we expect ammonium nitrate to show reasonably strong results.”
