KuibyshevAzot is drastically losing profit

In January-September this year, the sales of KuibyshevAzot (Samara region, Togliatti) decreased by 15% to 34.6 billion rubles (approximately $435.6 million), while net profit fell by 60% to 1.4 billion rubles (approx. $176.3 million) due to unfavorable conditions in the global market and decrease in demand due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The production of ammonia decreased by 2.8% to 778.1 thousand tons, carbamide by 9.1% to 246.5 thousand tons, ammonium sulfate by 11.9% to 345 thousand tons. Nevertheless, the output of ammonium nitrate increased by 12.8% to 553.8 thousand tons, carbamide-ammoniac compound by 53.5% to 199.1 thousand tons.

In September, the enterprise conducted shutdown overhauls at the production units of ammonia, carbamide, ammonium nitrate, and caprolactam.
