Avgust will confront the Federal Antimonopoly Service in court

The Avgust company filed a claim to the Moscow Commercial Court against the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS). According to the case files, Avgut intends to invalidate the resolution of the FAS dated December 8, 2020, No. 02/04/19.8-37/2020.
At the request of Fertilizer Daily, the press-service of the FAS explained that by this resolution the Avgust company was fined 100 thousand rubles (about $1400) for not reporting information to the Federal Antimonopoly Service.
The press-service of Avgust, in turn, confirmed that the company was fined since the FAS declared the untimely provision of information on herbicide prices for July 2020. Nevertheless, Avgut believes that the FAS missed the two-months deadline set for this category of cases. Moreover, there is no reason to impose a fine above the established minimum amount, since this was the first time the violation was committed. The Avgust company hadn’t previously committed similar offenses and immediately eliminated the violation, and no longer allows such actions.
Avgust is one of the largest manufacturers of plant protection products in Russia.
FertilizerDaily hopes that the dispute between Avgust and the FAS will be resolved fairly.
