According to the predictions of the Nutrien experts, in 2021, the sales of potassium fertilizers on the planet will reach a record level of 69-71 million tons, while in 2022 their stocks in key regions will be at historically low levels.
“We believe that Latin America may set new records for both consumption and import of potassium fertilizers in 2021. Farmers are actively purchasing them for the upcoming season,” the press-release of Nutrien says.
In North America, an increase in cultivation area and acceptable potassium application rates support strong demand, which Nutrien expects to continue this fall.
