Potassium chloride is expected to rise in price in 2022

Mosaic experts believe that the supply of phosphorus fertilizers from China in 4Q2021 will decrease due to the government’s actions to restrict exports.

Nevertheless, during the first nine-month period of 2021, China increased the sales of phosphorus fertilizers in the global market by 45% to 10 million tons, therefore, by the end of 2021, exports from China may increase by 1-1.5 million tons.

The reduction in stocks of potassium chloride in India and China by 59% and 26%, respectively, makes the experts predict its rise in price in 2022. The demand for potassium chloride in the US and Brazil will remain strong, although the growth dynamics will slow.
