PhosAgro opened an educational center in the Saratov region

PhosAgro launched an educational center at the Saratov State Vavilov Agrarian University (hereinafter, SSAU).

The opening ceremony was attended by Vice Governor of the Saratov region Roman Busargin, Rector of SSAU Dmitry Solovyev, Dean of the Agronomy Faculty Vasily Neifeld, and Director of the Balakovo branch of Apatit (part of PhosAgro) Andrey Shibnev.

The educational center will regularly hold lectures and practical classes for students and advanced training courses for professors and farmers. The lecturers will be Russian scientists, business representatives (including PhosAgro) and government officials.

Every week, the educational center will broadcast “from ore to food” online lectures from PhosAgro. Lectures will tell the listeners about advanced agricultural technologies, efficient crop production, innovation and digitalization of agriculture, and responsible farming.

“PhosAgro is a reliable partner of the Saratov region. The company’s fertilizers are used throughout the country. Without these fertilizers, we would not have reached the high yields and leading positions in agriculture that we occupy today. Such results can only be achieved when business, government and education work together,” Roman Busargin said at the opening ceremony.

Dmitry Solovyev noted that the new educational center will contribute to the food security of the Saratov region and the Volga Federal District.

“The center is unique since here both students and teachers are welcome to learn modern technologies and digital solutions,” said Dmitry Solovyev.
