Uralkali plans a large-scale project

By 2035, Uralkali will launch a new production of potassium chloride in the Perm region. The volume of capital investments in the project will amount to 70.5 billion rubles (over $1 billion), said Eduard Smirnov, Director for Subsoil Use of Uralkali.

According to his statement, Uralkali plans to implement an investment project that involves the introduction of modern technologies for the production of potassium chloride in the amount of 2.3 million tons per year. Its implementation will increase sales volumes and expand Uralkali’s presence in the global and domestic markets.

During the project, technical re-equipment of the factory of the Solikamsk potash mine department No. 2 and auxiliary shops will be carried out. It’s also planned to create a complex for the extraction of potassium salts with a capacity of 10 million tons per year.
